EXPERIENCE POINT PLEASANT

Point Pleasant has an extensive system of parks and recreational opportunities. Walk, fish, kayak and more at Krodel Park or visit historic Tu-Endie-Wei State Park. This city offers a wide variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. Learn, stay active and have fun in Point Pleasant!

Recreation

Explore Point Pleasant by biking along five miles of paths that show various historic and scenic locations along the route. Trailheads are located near Tu-Endie-Wei State Park and Point Pleasant High School.

Located five miles north of Point Pleasant, the McClintic Wildlife Management Area, or “TNT Area,” offers various outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and hiking. This is also the site where the Mothman was first reportedly spotted. You can even explore the bunkers where explosives were stored during World War II.

Located inside Krodel Park, the Splash Pad has 19 play features & is safe for kids of all ages. Only open in the warm weather months.

Point Pleasant has two public access points. The Main Street Boat Launch is located next to Tu-Endie-Wei State Park. The Point Pleasant Boat Launch is located across from Krodel Park.

Parks

Krodel Park has many activities for everyone. Enjoy fishing at their stocked lake, rent a kayak from the YakShak, or walk along the trail that circles the park, playground, picnic areas & more!

Overlooking the scenic Ohio River, Riverfront Park offers a gorgeous view as well as an amphitheater. The park is home to one of Point Pleasant’s best-kept secrets—historical murals and statues depicting the Battle of Point Pleasant in exquisite detail along the city’s outer floodwall.

Located where the Ohio and Kanawha rivers meet, Tu-Endie-Wei State Park has an 84-foot monument commemorating those who died during the Battle of Point Pleasant, along with a Mansion House that is open May through October offering more historical information for visitors.
